The author meta tag can be disabled in

Site > Global Configuration [Site]


Set Show Author Meta Tag to No as shown below.

While you are here make sure the default Global Site Meta Description is customized or left empty.
It's better for SEO to set these individually for each Article.
Same for Global Site Meta Keywords.
