Itemid=5 is the menu id (if a menu item is associated)

id=3 is the article id

http://www.yourdomain.ca/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3&Itemid=5

if no menu item associated then leave out Itemid

http://www.yourdomain.ca/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3
